This is a cake that is a personal favourite because it is made with the scrumptious, locally made, Morello Cherry Jam created by Dan and Lou at Jamtastic. One taste of their jam made us realise we HAD to find a cake recipe to showcase their delicious work and this is it! Plump, sweet and tangy cherries are mixed with a generous portion of Jamtastic jam, then they are drizzled over our light and moist, Madagascan Vanilla cake. Finally a crumble topping is sprinkled over the top of it all and it's baked to perfection.

Jamtastic is a labour of love for Dan and Lou, who are based in Caversham. They planted a small orchard nearby in 2011, growing a variety of fruit trees and soft fruits. Over the last couple of years, their trees have begun to produce an abundance of fruit, with a particularly high yield of morello cherries. They had been making jam for a number of years for themselves and all the extra fruit has enabled them to make large quantities of morello cherry jam to raise money for Reading Samaritans.
